Commercial
Most simply, these incentive programs are designed to lower the cost of installing EV charging stations, making it more appealing for individuals, businesses, and municipalities to transition to the technology. Depending on the specific type of incentive, you might receive a direct reduction in cost, a rebate after purchase, a tax credit to offset your tax liability or even a decrease in energy costs from the utility company.
EV charging incentives come in various forms. These include federal, national, state, and city-based programs. The incentives for installing EV charging stations can differ between countries and even within states or cities. Some examples include tax credits for installing EV charging equipment, lower electricity rates for off-peak usage from utility companies, grants for workplace EV charging, and programs that cover a large percentage of the cost of public charging infrastructure in critical locations.
Residential
It would depend on the specific incentive. Some EV charging incentives are available to anyone who installs an EV charger in a particular country. In contrast, others might be targeted at specific business types or only applicable in certain areas.
You can select your region from the incentive tool above and then filter to your area. We try to include as many EV charging incentive programs as possible. However, it is always worth checking with your local government or utility company for more information on available incentives.
